ASAM UI Documentation Tool Use License, Version 1.0 Copyright (c) 2026 ASAM UI contributors. All rights reserved. This is a restricted-use license, not an open-source license. 1. Covered software This license applies to the original ASAM UI documentation-query implementation code distributed in the @asam-ui/mcp package (the "Software"). Third-party code and dependencies are not covered by this license and remain subject to their own licenses. 2. Permission to use in applications Subject to the conditions below, any person may download, install, copy, run, and use the Software, including for commercial purposes. You may include the Software as an integrated part of a website or application that you build, publish, host, or distribute. Recipients may use that website or application as delivered. You may charge for the website or application, but not for the Software as a separately usable component product. You may perform ordinary, automated build transformations needed to integrate and deliver the Software in such a website or application, including transpilation, bundling, minification, and tree-shaking. Using documented configuration, public APIs, slots, and CSS custom properties in your own application is permitted. Apart from ordinary build transformations, these permissions do not allow edits to the Software's source files or distribution of a modified component package. 3. Restrictions Unless you have separate written permission from the copyright holders, you may not: - modify, adapt, or create a separately distributed derivative of the Software or its component packages, except for the ordinary build transformations permitted above; - sell, sublicense, repackage, or redistribute the Software as a standalone component library, package, template, or other separately usable component product, whether under the original name or another name; or - publish or republish the Software, in whole or in substantial part, as a package on npm or any other package registry. These restrictions do not prohibit distributing an application merely because its compiled assets contain the Software as an integrated component. 4. Notices and third-party rights Keep this copyright notice and license text with any copy of the Software's source or component package that you retain or pass on under this license. Do not remove notices already present in the Software. Comply separately with all applicable third-party licenses and notice requirements; this license does not limit rights granted by those third parties. 5. Ownership and trademarks The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. This license does not grant rights to ASAM UI names, logos, or trademarks except as needed to identify the Software accurately. 6. Warranty and liability THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE. Appendix A. ASAM-original documentation and SFC example use A.1. Scope and separation This appendix applies only to ASAM-original documentation text, ASAM-original API documentation and metadata, and ASAM-original portions of SFC examples included in the @asam-ui/mcp documentation snapshot or returned by its tools (the "ASAM Documentation Materials"). It grants permission only with respect to rights held by ASAM UI contributors. A public URL, the absence of a notice, or inclusion in a query result is not a representation that all material is ASAM-original. The Software defined in section 1 (the MCP implementation) is not an SFC example under this appendix. Source code of the underlying ASAM component packages, dependencies, and third-party material are not ASAM Documentation Materials merely because a document or example references them. A.2. Documentation and API queries You may download, retain, read, and query the ASAM Documentation Materials, including through an agent or development tool, for developing, integrating, using, maintaining, and verifying your websites or business applications, including commercial applications. You may copy relevant ASAM-original documentation and API excerpts into your application development context or internal application documentation for those purposes. These permissions do not authorize distributing the documentation snapshot, an API catalogue, or a documentation collection as a separately usable product. A.3. ASAM-original SFC examples in applications You may copy and modify ASAM-original SFC example portions to integrate them into your own website or business application, including adapting component usage, composition, event handlers, styles, and application data. You may publish, host, and distribute those portions, as modified, as an integrated part of your application in source or compiled form. You may charge for the application, but not for those examples as a separately usable component, example pack, template, library, or documentation product. Preserve applicable copyright and attribution notices included with the portions you retain or distribute. A.4. Limited exception; implementation restrictions remain The permission to modify material in A.3 is limited to ASAM-original SFC example portions. It does not permit editing the MCP implementation, editing an underlying ASAM component package, or creating a separately distributed derivative, fork, or repackaging of the MCP implementation. The Software remains subject to sections 1 through 6, including section 3 restrictions on standalone sale, sublicensing, repackaging, redistribution, and registry republication. Copying or modifying an example does not authorize republishing @asam-ui/mcp or another ASAM package. A.5. Third-party material, existing packages, and notices Third-party documentation, API definitions, example portions, and dependencies, including material identified by upstream source or license notices, remain subject to their own licenses and notice requirements. This appendix does not claim ownership of, grant additional rights to, restrict rights granted by, or replace the licenses of those third parties. Retain and comply with the applicable source notices and license texts accompanying them. The licenses of @asam-ui/ui, @asam-ui/ui-yudao, @asam-ui/icons-vue, and other separately licensed packages remain unchanged. Their implementation code is not covered by the example-copying and modification permission in A.3. The ownership, trademark, warranty, and liability provisions in sections 5 and 6 also apply to the ASAM Documentation Materials, with references to Software in those provisions read as including the ASAM Documentation Materials.
